I can't login and password does not work

  1. If you have registered with the Two Oceans Graduate Institute you would have done so with an email address of your choice. That email address at our Institution is referred to as the “Registered Email Account”.
  2. On successful completion of your Application, an email would have been sent to you to confirm your email address. That link in the email address will direct you to your Student Portal called the SIS (Student Information System), where you will be prompted to choose a password. That password will be used to get access to both the SIS as well as the LMS (Learning Management System).
  3. Note that once the System forwards you that link to verify your email, the link “Token” will expire within 24 hours.
  4. If you have missed the 24 hour period you are able to request another link by following the “Reset your Password” process.
  5. The “Reset your Password” and login link to the SIS are both accessible from the TOGI Website.
  6. Navigate to the TOG Website - https://togi.ac.za
  7. On the right hand side of the Menu there is a TAB Labeled “Sign In”.
  8. Requesting another activation link and resetting your password is the exact same procedure.
  9. After you have clicked on Reset aJourney Password (aJourney is the name of the SIS), you will directed to the Reset your password Page. Make sure you have access to your “Registered Email Account” as that is where you’ll receive the new reset or activation link.
  10. In the scenario where a change of email address is required you will need to contact the TOGI Support Team to assist in facilitating the changes on your Account and replace your “Registered Email Account” address.
  11. Unless you were advised to use a “temporary password” leave it blank and only enter your “Registered Email Account” address.
  12. If the system finds a match, you will see the following message “An email has been sent to your email address with a temporary link to reset your password.”
  13. Check your “Registered Email Account”, INBOX as well as your SPAM / JUNK MAIL Folder in case your MAILBOX filters the email as spam.
  14. You’ll receive a message “A reset password link has been requested for your profile” as well as included in the email will be “here” link.
  15. Click on the “here” link and that will direct you to the “Reset your password” Page.
  16. You will now be able to choose a password of your choice but limited to the security policy required by our SIS. ie lowercase, uppercase, one number, etc.
  17. Click “Submit”  and you will be directed to the “Sign into your Account” Page.
  18. Note that your “Registered Email Account” address is your Username on both the SIS and LMS. However to access the LMS you would need to do so via the SIS.
  19. After successful Sign in you will be welcomed to your Profile Page. Do not feel overwhelmed as the portal will be updated in due course and your Account and Modules will reflect correctly before Statements are sent out.
  20. The final step will direct you to the LMS, click on the “Learn” icon under any pre-registered module to be directed to the LMS.
  21. You have now successfully logged into both the SIS and LMS.
  22. Welcome to your Learning Management System.
